Following the inspiring Present-day Practicals Webinar Series, we’re hosting a dedicated LabBuddy webinar. LabBuddy provides an e-learning solution to support students in preparing before the start of the practical work, while working in the lab, and to guide them during the processing of their results after the practical work. During this session, Lukas Lätsch from ETH Zurich and Lauren Deneyer from EhB (Brussels) will share their experiences.
Lukas Lätsch (Bad Dürkheim, Germany, 1996) received his M.Sc. degree in Chemistry from ETH Zürich in 2019, and completed his Ph.D. at the same institution in 2024 under the supervision of Christophe Copéret. His research focused on developing new approaches to characterize Ti-zeotype oxidation catalysts. During his studies, he served as a teaching assistant and guest lecturer for organic and inorganic chemistry courses. Since 2024, he has been pursuing a teaching diploma and working as a teaching specialist at ETH Zürich to modernize the first-year inorganic chemistry laboratory course.
Lauren Deneyer studied Biomedical Sciences at the University of Brussels and is now a lecturer in the Professional Bachelor programme in Biomedical Laboratory Techniques at the Erasmus Brussels University of Applied Sciences. She teaches several clinical diagnostic courses and is passionate about science outreach, especially engaging with secondary school students to raise scientific awareness. Since 2022, she has coordinated the implementation of LabBuddy across the Biomedical Laboratory Techniques programme, covering seven courses.
